Hi, my name is Roberto, but most people call me Robert. I am one of many who want to know about our Creator and His message to us.
I love our Creator, and like many of you, I have spent a lifetime reading the Bible. But over time, I realized something that changed how I approach the Word: most translations are, by their very nature, interpretations.
To make the Bible sound "nice" or "poetic" for English readers, translators often paraphrase. In that process, a vast amount of information is lost. The raw power, the complex grammar, and the specific nuances of the original Hebrew are often smoothed away, leaving us with a version that is easy to read but disconnected from the source. I started The Source Study because I want to know the Creator through His own words, unfiltered. I don’t want a translation that tells me what to think; I want to see the "DNA" of the text itself.
I know that most people don’t have the time to sit down and learn ancient Hebrew grammar or dissect every verse word-for-word. Because I am doing this work for my own walk with Him, I felt a calling to share it with anyone else who is hungry for the truth.
This isn’t a typical devotional site. My translations may sometimes be "difficult" to read because I do not paraphrase. I prioritize the literal structure of the Hebrew over the "smoothness" of the English.
For every verse, you will find:
I am not a distant scholar; I am a student alongside you. I am simply a person who believes that every "jot and tittle" of the Hebrew Bible matters. If you are looking for the truth that lies beneath the surface of traditional translations, I invite you to join me in this verse-by-verse journey back to the source.
